Position: QA Analyst
Type: Fulltime with Syntel but the selected candidate would be based out of our Client’s office at Portland OR. This is long term engagement we have with our Auto-Mfg Client – Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA)
Location: Portland OR

Salary: $60K – $70K Range + Benefits
Start Date: ASAP – We want someone who could come onboard within 1 week time frame from the date of offer

Required Skills:
6-8 years of QA Testing experience (Manual Testing and Automation Testing)
Good experience on Manual Testing
• Understanding of defect tracking software – ClearQuest (Preferred)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to deal with unresolved situations, frequent change, delays, or unexpected events
• Collaborative nature
• Willingness to pursue resolutions
• Knowledge of automated testing tools: i.e. Rational Robot, LoadRunner, HP Quality Test Center
• Strong testing skills
• Strong knowledge of quality and testing methodologies
• Good organizational and record keeping skills
• Good analytical skills
• Strong time management skills
• Ability to handle multiple projects

Tools/Applications:
• Defect tracking software

Job Responsibilities:
• Review product requirements and design specifications to create test plans
• Create quality control requirements and test estimates from design documentation
• Develop a test traceability matrix, depending depth of involvement in project
• Plan, develop, execute, and maintain manual and automated test suites to assure the quality of software products; this includes test plans, test cases, test procedures, and test scripts
• Maintain issue and defect databases to document problems, solutions, communications, and related activity regarding software issues/defects
• Participate in and/or conduct “bug scrub” meetings
• Assure that QA processes are adhered to at all stages of the project life cycle
• Conduct status review meetings and provide feedback to both project and QM personnel
• Keep project team members apprised of the project quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle via reports such as status reports, test summary reports, and test logs
• Maintain a professional image at all times
• Provide daily guidance to the testing efforts of the application project teams
• Work with developers and help desk personnel to resolve complex customer issues
